Yoga focuses and calms the mind. It develops strength and flexibility. Relaxation brings peace, contentment and replenishes energy.  

We teach a dynamic style of Hatha Yoga. Precise instructions emphasise postural alignment, a unique use of yoga equipment allows everyone to practise to their full capacity, stillness in each posture allows the mind to reflect. It is ideal for beginners developing technique.

Mat Pilates is a no impact exercise system that everyone can follow.  With regular practice you will soon feel and see the many benefits – a leaner, strengthened physique, more shapely limbs and a sense of wonderful wellbeing and vitality.   The exercises can be done at home – there is no need to buy expensive equipment or join a gym.

Pilates (Pi-lah-tees) Matwork exercises are simple yet precise flowing movements used to strengthen the deep torso and back muscles, develop vitality and invigorate the mind.  Pilates targets the body’s area of core stability or the powerhouse - the abdomen and lower back.  With regular practice, the body will begin to move with maximum efficiency and minimum effort.

Yoga and Pilates can be truly transformative and are practised in the pursuit of increasing self understanding and skillfulness.  They develop capacity, inspire and enable new thought and leaps of creativity.
